About Author;

Sri Mangat Murmu was born on 12th September, 1968 at Bada Tilow, PO-Gayalkata PS-Chandua, Dist. Mayurbhanj of Oisha. His parents were Manbodh and Salkho. He received hisĀ  Primary education from Gayalkata U.P. School. He passed Matriculation from Chandua Govt High School in 1985 and +3 B.A. from M.P.C College, Baripada in 1990. Due to financial hardship he was compelled to join service for livelihood. He joined as Junior Assistant in Odisha Secretariat, Bhubaneswar on 12th August, 1991 and till now he is continuing service as Desk Officer there.

He got married to Malati Murmau in 23-6-1991. Now they have two daughter namely Salkho Mama and Surukuni.

Sri Murmu started his literary works, particularly in Santali Language from his college life. He edited magazine like Rajgar Tarash, Sarjom Baha. He generally writes Shrt story and Articles. His articles are published in various magazine and Journals like Sagen Sakam, Sandhaynee, Tetang, Fagun etc. He is the founder General Secretary of Jumid Sandhyanee Association. He is good organizer and dedicated his life for the development of OLCHIKI as well as Santali Language.

His first popular Book ‘Chedag ar Chedkhatir, Part-1’ was published in the year 2011, Salge his Second Story Book.
